MiBoxer DL-POW3 DALI bus power supply with PUSH dimmer for the DIN rail

The MiBoxer DL-POW3 combines two functions in a single unit: it supplies power to the DALI bus whilst simultaneously converting the signals from a simple PUSH button into DALI control commands. This allows DALI drivers and DALI ballasts to be operated via a standard push-button switch, without the need for an additional DALI control centre or a separate bus power supply.

Operation has been deliberately kept simple: a short press of the button switches the light on and off, whilst a long press increases or decreases the brightness. The speed of PUSH dimming can be adjusted on the device, allowing the dimming behaviour to be adapted to the specific installation.

Unicast, multicast and broadcast are available for control. This allows individual luminaires, defined groups or all devices on the bus to be addressed collectively. The DALI address is set directly on the device using two rotary switches: the left-hand switch sets the tens digit, the right-hand switch the ones digit. If the left-hand switch is set to 3 and the right-hand switch to 2, this results in the address 32.

The DL-POW3 is mounted on a 35 mm top-hat rail (DIN rail) and therefore fits into standard distribution boards and control cabinets. The housing is made of flame-retardant PC plastic. The device meets the requirements for Class 2 power supply as well as the SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) standard.
