The ALLDAQ SCU (SCU = Signal Conditioning Unit) We have worked with some customers to design a module that offers a variety of options for adapting signals between the DUT and the actual measurement mimic. Analogue inputs: The intended measurement card, the ALLDAQ ADQ-348, has 32 differential channels, each of which can be individually conditioned using the SCU. When a raw signal is connected to the SCU, it goes through the following steps: Input coupling: You can set either DC or AC coupling here. Attenuator: In order to reduce a high voltage to the level of the actual input, a gain between 0 and -47.95dB can be set here. Adaption: To increase a low voltage to the level of the actual input, the respective gain is set here between +12.04 and +33.85dB. Amplifier and Digital Filter: To refine the signal even further, a low-pass filter and further amplification can be added. Analogue outputs The analogue outputs are also individually customisable. Each of the 4 channels is divided into two paths, which in turn can be individually amplified, defined as a single-ended or differential output or switched as a 50 ohm termination. This results in 8 analogue channels. Digital channels All the functions that the ADQ-348 also offers are also provided by the ADQ-SCU. These include, for example: Triggers for the analogue inputs Triggers for the analogue outputs 1x 8 bit port digital inputs up to 35V 1x 8 bit port digital outputs up to 35V 2 x 8 bit port bidirectional digital I/Os, TTL Zähler PWM Power relay For simple switching of loads, there are 8x 6A/30VDC relays, which are each switched in pairs. Here, the inputs and outputs are not connected to the measuring card. Expansion boards Since all SCU functions are controlled using I²C, it is possible to design additional functions and expansion modules. For example, 2 mezanine boards are currently available. The power board: Two high-current relays up to 50A/100VAC per relay 4x additional power supply relays up to 5A/35VDC with a sense line at the input as a read/write option, e.g. to a laboratory power supply . 4-channel power measurement for the channels of the supply relays Up to 8x I²C addresses can be set via a rotary switch. The relay board: 32 additional supply relays up to 5A/35VDC Customised Due to the flexibility offered by the control via I²C, it is possible to quickly realise customer-specific plug-on boards. Please also contact us if you would like to realise an adaptation to another board. Our team of hardware and software specialists will help you to realise your project quickly.
